Lenovo has launched it’s new Lenovo LePad tablet which will be competing against the rival Apple iPad 2. Vodafone 3G Plan Tariff in India

Vodafone has announced the launch of its Vodafone 3G services in India.

Vodafone announced various 3G plans according to the needs of the users. Vodafone 3G services would be available for both pre-paid and post-paid customers. The existing Vodafone users can avail the 3G services by activating it through a 3G compatible phone.

Vodafone 3G services will offer Mobile TV, video calls, web browsing through computers or laptops, high-speed downloading etc. Vodafone claimed that video calls on Vodafone 3G network does not use data channels rather accesses voice channels. Thus, it would be more beneficial for customers as their bills will be according to the number of minutes spoken multiplied by the rate per minute.

Sakshat Tablet Price in India

Here comes India’s best contribution to the gadget world. It’s nothing other than the world’s cheapest tablet, Sakshat Tablet. According to sources, the new Indian sensation, Sakshat tablet will be available at just $35 (around Rs 1,500).

The Sakshat tablet will be launched on Monday, Jan 10. It will be available in different screen sizes like 5-inch, 7 and 10. Other features include 2GB of RAM, web-conferencing, PDF reader unzip, WiFi, camera and USB connectivity.

Sakshat tablet has been developed as part of the National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology
that aims to link 25,000 colleges and 400 universities on the subcontinent in an e-learning program via an existing Sakshat portal.

Sakshat tablet will be launched by HCL technologies. According to a contract with the government of India, HCL will manufacture 100,000 tablets in the first phase. Indian government has assigned Rs 300 million for Sakshat tablet project.

Samsung unveiled a new tablet pc using Windows 7 OS called Samsung Gloria with physical slide-out QWERTY keyboard. Samsung Gloria and where it differs from the Galaxy Tab which has a 7-inch screen, the Gloria will apparently have a 10-inch screen.

Samsung Gloria tablet pc is powered by 1.8GHz processor with 2GB of RAM and 128GB of flash storage drive. Samsung Gloria will be available in stores from 2011 Q2 and it’s full specification detail & price is expected to be revealed by March 2011.

HP TouchSmart tm2 tablet features a 12.1 inch WXGA LED touchscreen display, plus Intel HD graphics, and a built in web camera.

RIM announced the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet a couple of weeks ago, now they have shown their new tablet off at Adobe’s Max conference and you can see it in action in the video below.

The BlackBerry PlayBook features a 7 inch LCD display with a resolution of 1024 x 600, the PlayBook measures 5.1 inches by 7.6 inches by 0.4 inches thick and it ways in at just 400 grams, processing is in the form of a 1GHz processor and there is also 1GB of RAM.

The BlackBerry PlayBook features a new BlackBerry Tablet OS which is based on QNX technology, and it features what RIM calls ‘true multi tasking’ there is also an on screen keyboard a HDMI port, Bluetooth and it will come in 16GB and 32GB and 64GB sizes.

Sony Google HDTVs feature WiFi, plus Full HD in 1080p, and they also have backlit LED panels. With regards to the Google TV Software there is a dual mode which allows you to watch TV and also use Google TV applications like Twitter at the same time.

On top of that there are a range of Google TV streaming apps installed which include, YouTube, CNBC, NBA, as well as Napster and Pandora.

Pricing wise they are cheaper than we had previously reported with the 24 inch model retailing for $599 whilst the top end 46 inch model will retail for $1,399.

The new range of Sony Google TV HDTVs will be available from October the 24th in Sony Style retail stores and also in Best Buy.
