Microsoft Windows 8 Releasing On 2012?

Microsoft is planning to launch its new OS the Microsoft Windows 8 some in 2012. The last OS version of Mircrosoft, Windows 7 was release in 2009.

The information came from a Microsoft website in the Netherlands, which said the following, translated in English ‘Furthermore, Microsoft is on course for the next version of Windows. But it will take about two years before ‘Windows 8′ is on the market.’

It will be interesting to see if Microsoft will have the same success with Windows 8 as they have with Windows 7, although part of Windows 7′s sucess was due to the fact the their previous OS, Windows Vista was plagued with so many problems.

Mac OS X Lion Announced

Apple has announced the latest version of their Mac OS, Mac OS X Lion, which will come with a range of new features including some features from their iOS.

They will also be launching an App store for Macs, where you will be able to download direct to your Mac just like you do on your iPhone and iPad.

You will be able to access the Mac App store direct from the dock, and it will work exactly like the App store on the iPhone and iPad. Applications can be easily insatlled on your Mac.

There is also a new feature called Launchpad which will let you launch your applications instantly, and it is a full screen interface similar to the iPad as you will be able to orgainze application and also creature folders like on iOS. Continue reading »

Sony Google HDTVs feature WiFi, plus Full HD in 1080p, and they also have backlit LED panels. With regards to the Google TV Software there is a dual mode which allows you to watch TV and also use Google TV applications like Twitter at the same time.

On top of that there are a range of Google TV streaming apps installed which include, YouTube, CNBC, NBA, as well as Napster and Pandora.

Apple iPhone iOS 4 Download

Apple’s latest version of their iPhone OS, iPhone iOS 4 is available now to download later today. In order to install iOS 4 on your iPhone or iPod Touch you will need to download the latest version of iTunes, iTunes 9.2.

Once you have downloaded the latest version of iTunes, make a manual backup of your iPhone in iTunes, right click on your iPhone in the menu and press backup.

The new iPhone iOS 4 will work with the iPhone 3GS and 3G, although not all features will be available on the iPhone 3G. Continue reading »

iPhone OS 4.0 - Multitasking in Mobiles!

Apple has unveiled the next generation of their iPhone OS, iPhone OS 4.0. Apple’s Steve Jobs announced the iPhone OS 4.0 at a special press event.

The main feature that everyone wanted for the iPhone, Multitasking will be in the iPhone OS, this means that you will now be able to run multiple applications at once.

Multitasking in the iPhone OS will work like we expected, for example if you are using the web browser, and want to check your email, you just double click the home screen button and a window pops up that shows you icons for the applications that are running, then you just click on the one you want and it will launch automatically.

You will also be able to access the multitasking feature from the iPhone’s home screen. Apple said at their press conference the main reason they didn’t introduce multitasking before was they wanted to get it working so that it wouldn’t have any impact on battery life, which they say they have achieved with the iPhone OS 4.0.

Another interesting feature that Apple has introduced in the iPhone OS 4.0 is called ‘Folders’, Folders will let you arrange your icons in folders, for example you could place all you social network applications in one folder and all your games in another. Continue reading »
